What is the Gospel

When asked what this purpose of a missionary is, many people will respond with something like, "One who shares the Gospel with people from other cultures". There is a lot to discuss in this statement, but right know I would like to focus on the "Gospel" part. Take some time to study and contemplate what this "Gospel" is that we find so important as to compel us to share it with others. What is this Gospel that has compelled others to not only make it their lives work, but to even give up their lives?
Take some time to think and write about this this week in the comments of this blog. Search the scriptures for our answers, and indicate what those are in your answers. The questions is "What is the Gospel!"

What is the Gospel?
We know it is the power of God unto Salvation.
Romans 1:16
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

We know the seed of the Gospel is simply the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord as payment for man’s sin.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (NKJV)
3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,

We know the Gospel is the message of redemption in scripture from Genesis to Revelation.
The Gospel is the creator of the universe making man in his own image and for His sole glory and praise. It is that creation rebelling against God that brought God’s judgment of death upon all mankind. It is God in His grace and love sending His Son Jesus to pay that judgment through his only Son Jesus. It is Christ humbling himself to become man, humbling himself to die on the cross for man. It is God giving the gift of faith to those God has called and that man or woman by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone responding to that call of God with faith believing.
Ephesians 2:8-9 (NKJV)
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
